When first loading many web sites, they start loading very slowly but at any
time during the load, I can hit "refresh" and the page loads fast and normal.
This happens if I hit refresh 2 seconds or 10 seconds into the loading. What
could be causing this??
Thanks ....

You need to clean out your Temporary on and offline internet files.
Open IE (Internet Explorer)>Tools>Internet Options>click Delete Cookies
and click Delete Files including offline content. Do this AFTER logging off
the Internet. In fact, your whole system may need a good going over to
clean it up. Do a disk cleanup under Accessories>System Tools

Check for Proxy settings.. In Internet Options, click on the
Connections tab. Click the LAN Settings button. Then clear any
checkboxes that may be marked. Close all open instances of IE, then
try to open your pages again.
Also check for any other kind of proxy you may be using at home or
work. Software or hardware...
