After two restarts, Seawolf I is finally settling down.

Several empires have put navies to sea, along with colonists in some
cases. However, there are still a few land-lubber nations to be found.
The empires that have put to sea do so in small craft that hold only a few
people. Still, there are rumors of a new sport involving ships called
"viking." Nobody has yet held an international meet of viking yet, but
that day may come soon.

Here and there monks gather in dark abbeys and scratch out documents with
quill and pen, while the alchemists attempt the impossible. Their
efforts aid their own empires for the most part, but the whole world is
starting to notice and benefit from their work.

No fewer than 31 ships are plying the waters or getting the last licks of
paint applied in harbor. So far, there haven't been any incidents between
them, but the seas are getting quite crowded and the peaceful nature of
the game probably has more to do with the limited observation range of the
ships than anything else.

Quite a bit of land has been colonized, with players exploring in hopes of
finding the capitals (and the cash in them) of the two empires that have
apparently been abandoned by their leaders.

Seawolf I has seen it's first combat - first Zero invading the defunct
Octagon's island, and then beep and Zero getting into a small scrap over a
few sectors. Saltmine is dismantling the defunct GNUb empire as I am
typing this. For the most part, the players seem to be developing their
spheres of influence instead of actively going after each other's
territory.

The technological developments are coming along nicely, with modern navies
at sea. There is only one aircraft at the time of writing, although the
ship count is now more than 160. A deity generated `map * *`
shows the waters to be quite crowded, as one would expect with that many
ships at sea. Once the real campaigns begin, the action should be fast and
furious.

Taking out GnuB was less like lawn mowing and more like greenskeeping.
He had expanded to a full 10 sectors on a 85 sector start island.

The ship count is now over 210, and the seas are crowded indeed, although
still relatively peaceful. Most of the traffic seems to be commerce and
colonists.

The empires are still spurning aircraft, with the global count at three.
Land units are being built slowly.

Combat is still occurring as Zero and now Mordor are still reducing
Octagon's start island. Some Octagon territory still remains
independent, although it probably won't last long. Che is quite active on
the old Octagon territory, providing some excitement for the occupation
forces.

The telegraph lines are busy as well, although there haven't been any
public announcements concerning alliances or hostilities yet. The visitor
