Well, I remember this from Win 95 / 98, that when you played a game and pressed too many keys, the pc-speaker would make a sound while the computer was halting.

This is currently happening to me, on my Asus F3T notebook.
It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens some times and I think that it is making my computer just shut power off some times. All the sound just stop and I have to release my buttons for the system to continue.

I am monitoring my temperatures so this is not what's causing the shutdown.

Do you think this could be it ?
