Can i locate my lost phone

i recently lost my phone.. two days ago actually.. i went to dinner and told myself not to take it with me, and im positive i didnt. i checked the car just incase and its not there. ive ripped apart my house and tried calling. unfortunatly, my phone died during these two days so i cant hear it ring when i try to call. any suggestions on where to look, how to track it down? or if any of you have ever lost a phone, where are places you have checked or places you found it? all answers and suggestions and greatly appreciated! thanks

Did you contact the phone company? Should be the first thing you do, they can get pretty close to it's location if it's on through either gps or triangulation. If it's powered on and in service range. The battery may not be dead in two days unless it's a smartphone, those die pretty quick.
