Hi - Really in need of some tech advice. I purchased a Dell Studio 1535 laptop in Sept, had a few issues, sent back to Dell, and they returned it to me with one concern - the battery status indicator light was still flcikering sporadically, dim, bright, fast, slow, always in white. The manual has only 3 choices - a solid white, a steady flashing orange, or no light - but it was still flickering off and on, nothing steady, in white. After WEEKS of dealing with many different possible issues, Dell told me to upgrade the bios. Made me nervous, as I'd never so much as typed a single letter on the laptop, so I objected until they finally sent out a 2nd laptop.
Just opened the box - battery status light is flickering sporadically, dim, bright, fast slow... sigh. I contacted Dell tech support, they just told me to upgrade the bios. Should I pack up the 2nd laptop and return it as well... or on a never used laptop, would anyone suggest actually doing this? Could this be the catalyst for - or the sign of - a bigger issue down the road, or am I worrying too much?

Thanks for any words of wisdom!
