Hi all
Hoping for some help.
I bought a Viewsonic VP930 a couple of months ago as after reading a lot of reviews it seemed to be the best monitor on the market at the time.
The only problem is that within a couple of weeks I seemed to have problems with the DVI input on the monitor. It just doesn't receive any signal for some reason.
So 2 possible problems. 1 its the cable, 2 its a problem with the actual monitor.
Before I go all overborad and send it back the the manufacturers (still well within warrenty). I want to check its not the cable
I also need to check which kind of cable it is I need to replace.
Is there any difference between a DVI-DVI cable and A DVI-D - DVI-D cable?
or are they one and the same?
cheers
CC
Had same problem - after just over 1 month DVI stopped working. Swapped monitor with a friend's identical one - it was not the lead - fault was on the monitor. Had it replaced by Viewsonic - replacement monitor worked fine for a couple of months, then DVI input stopped working again.
May be a common fault on these - anyway - have not bothered sending second monitor back - used analogue connector - cannot see any difference in quality.
