I have a 19 VGA monitor already, and adding another to have dual monitors doesn't sound bad. But then again, it still is VGA quality. I could pay more and have a 20.1 DVI setup instead... Is DVI's quality really worth giving up the screen real estate?

Depending on your use and the quality of your video card, you may see NO difference between VGA and DVI. (Some say there is a bit more ghosting in fast action games with VGA.) My monitors have both, and I have chosen VGA.
(I have viewed idential monitors with identical video cards, side-by-side... one with VGA and the other DVI, and have been able to see no difference at all... even with a magnifying glass. I think DVI is mostly overrated.)
