I need help! I no longer have the "standby" option when I go to shutdown.

The problem started a few days ago when I downloaded the new XP SP2. I've
uninstalled it but it didn't help.

I've tried to restore the system to several previous dates, but they were
all unsuccessful. I was on the phone with tech support for an hour and I got
no where.

Any suggestions?
