Have you actually used it? If you're not worried about transferring files and compatibility with everything then I would really recommend that you use ATRAC instead of MP3, so that you get more battery life (100+ hrs using ATRAC on a Hi-MD? No problem!), and so that you can actually hear something besides distortion and artefacts.

I will admit that Sonicstage is a bit of a b***h though.
