Does anyone know how to transfer video from a MiniDV to a computer?

You can transfer miniDV to your computer using video capture software and a FireWire cable. Here is a how to guide from StashSpace a company that has free software for doing this:

You can also mail them your tape and they will transfer it to a digital file for you ($6.95/tape)
