While trying to load my ipod software I acquired another problem. None of my
usb DVD's can be found. In device manager it shows the problemed devices but
how do I fix them?
I did unplug them (2 devices), unloaded the drivers in device manager then
reattached them and the drivers loaded but again in device manager it says
devices cannot be found.

Seems USB drivers are corrupted during the process.
Disconnect DVD and iPOD. Boot to safe mode using F8 key when system
restarts. Access device manage remove all the entry listed under Universal
Serial bus controllers and restart in normal mode.
