I know you can get bluetooth adapters that plug into a usb port, but I'm trying to do something different. I want to make an adapter that I can plug a usb device into to make it connect via bluetooth. Has anyone done this? Could I just take apart a bluetooth mouse and use components from that?

This will not work unless the usb device has its own power source and does not run off of usb power. Even then, I'm not so sure.
