I am hoping to find a decent gaming laptop for around 600 dollars. Is this possible or should I plan on spending more? I would like to be able to play my current games (bf2, counter-strike) as well as some newer games (spore) on at least medium settings.
MSI's new GX630-028US is only 800. Generally, if you can get any vga in a laptop that isn't from intel, it will be able to do graphics reasonably well. My friend can even play spore, and he's got one of the lowest quality mobile gfx cards in the market.
Hey, yeah. . well the GX630 are fairly decent specs for the money. However, just yesterday I was purusing Lenovo's site and, with a 10% coupon (which they provide a link in the cart:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5750 ( 2GHz 667MHz 2MB )
Vista Home Premium

ATI Radeon HD 2600 256MB

It's not horrible, but it is kinda last yeas stuff. Oh well.
