I have a Nokia 445pro CRT that doesn’t go into suspend or off mode. When windows xp goes into its monitor off mode the monitor simply displays no signal. The monitor isn’t dark like you’d expect but rather you can still see the electron gun displaying a pattern of white light on the screen.

The monitor did go into suspend mode with windows 98 and the default monitor drivers but nothing in xp seems to get it to go to sleep… any ideas? (I’m using an Nvidia card)

My moms computer does that as well w/ a daewoo monitor (also w/ an nvidia card). I think it may be card or driver related, havent bothered to mess with it much yet.
Are you sure it is going into monitor off mode? Maybe you have the screensaver set to "blank".
