How to turn off windows feature?

When I type in my email name windows automatically lists options for my email name after I type One letter. How do I turn this function off, and as far as that goes sometimes when I type in the browser it will pop up different suggestions of sites that start with the first letter I type. How do I stop these things from happening and delete history?
I know its not clearing history and deleting temp files.
Any clue?

If you checked yes to the autocomplete window all your keystrokes are logged to facilitate easier access. To turn it off I believe you have to go into Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and uncheck the Use inline autocomplete for web addresses box.

You can also uncheck empty temporary internet files and if your email client is outlook or outlook express, you can uncheck a similar option there called autocomplete email address.
