Windows 7 Windows Installer Problem

Hey Guys,

I have a problem where I can't uninstall some software I install. And the message I got in "safe mode" when I tried to uninstall again was Windows Installer don't work something lol

Can anyone help please?

WHICH software... and uninstalls mostly do NOT work in safe mode but do in normal mode...

Have you tried in normal mode running the uninstaller as the administrator?
You could try system restore if you installed the program recently. If that is not an option then you can always manually uninstall the program. Manually uninstalling a program can be very time consuming but may be the best option.
A quick guide to uninstalling a program manually.

1. Use MSCONFIG to ensure the program is not in the start up list, if it is disable and reboot.
2. Delete the programs directory in program files.
3. Create a system restore point
4. Use REGEDIT to delete all references to the program.

Yes I have tried normal mode and it told me to try uninstalling it in safe mode.

I'll try to uninstall it manually but if I can't do it right myself would you mind leaving me a link to some instructions maybe?

Maybe a better way to uninstall the program manually for you would be to do the following.

1. Use MSCONFIG to ensure the program is not in the start up list, if it is disable and reboot.
2. Delete the programs directory in program files.
3. Run CCleaner. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner

This will be good enough and eliminates the risk of you editing the registry.
