I have:
AMD Athlon 64 X2, 4600+, Socket AM2, Boxed
Asus M2N-E
Asus EN7900GT /2DHT, 256 MB
Samsung Syncmaster 913N
Samsung LE26M51B LCD TV
I connect the LCD TV with a DVI to HDMI cable.
It seems I am not able to set the resolution @ 1920 x 1080... When I do this in Nvidia Control Panel (91.31), the screen does not fit my LCD TV.
Adjusting Edges does not work.
I know that the native resolution of my TV is 1366 x 768.
My first question: Is it possible to display 1920 x 1080?? 1080p??
Second: how do I do this and what do I need?
I found guides for ATI cards, but not for NVIDIA cards...
LCD TV's are not the same as LCD monitors. LCD Monitor will typically support higher resolutions, like what you are try to achive.
However, I would run your graphics card in the native resolution and evaluate the visual results.
I have a 27" Syntec that I am using for my monitor. It's native resolution is 1280 x720 and things look great at that.
I'm pretty sure most graphics cards will want to size to 1366 x 760. You should be fine.
Since you can't crank the resolution up as much as your want, try turning all visual details to high, and / or increasing your AA and AF to higher levels. You'll get all the eye candy that games can give. Personally, I think that's better than just cranking up the resolution.
