Currently, I have a stellar, robust, and amzing 8 players signed up for
International Trade Wars (AKA The Only Game in Town). They are as follows:
Industmech
Dorsia!
Zergland
Rook
Thistle
Aquitaine
WhiteStar
Luciania
Now I realize that 8 players is a lot of player. IF YOU ARE PLAYING CHESS!
I tell the rookies here that I ran a game with 68 players once (well, 71 really
but 3 didn't break). And the rookies go "Uuuuu" and "Ahhhhh". And you know
what, while I ran games back then with dozens of players, there were other
games running concurrently.
Yes, yes, yes, I fully realize that this game and the last one (TW-2K4) are
pushing the envelope. But let's face reality. Empire is dying on the vine.
Empire players now are about as common as a celibate homosexual. The game
has not really evolved in its basic play since the Chainsaw version was
worked on.
So maybe I'm going down the same trail as Austrailopithicus Afiranus (yes
beep, that IS big word). But right now I dare say we have branched off
onto the Neanderthal limb and we all know what happened to them. (If you
don't know, most of the survivors emigrated to Windsor, Ontario where they
are mainly employed as furniture movers in the carpet cleaning business.)
So stop being afraid of something different. This is "different good" (like
chocolate ice cream with raspberry sauce) not "different bad" (like Boy
George).
So get your hands back on the keyboard and reply to this e-mail and send
me your country name and password.
I look forward to getting your regitrations.
