Hello,

I subscribe to many magazines which quickly inundate my NYC apartment. I've been currently scanning the articles I want to archive as PDF files, but they still take up so much HD space. Any recommendations for software, scanner settings, zip utilities etc. that would allow me to archive as efficiently as possible and recycle the stacks of print that clutter my apartment so quickly????

Many thanks,

-al

What settings are you using? If you scan as b/w, low bit and a reasonable dpi (150 should be fine for on-screen reading) then the file size shouldn't be too big. Most people have these settings way too high.
