Hey guys my laptop screen wont turn off I have a Dell Inspiron E1505. I had just reformated and I was updatin the os and installing all the drivers so and the process I had to restarted and all the icons and the taskbar went off just like normall but the screen will stay on with the picture of my background and it does turns off after 20 minutes.

Can anyone help me with this issue, I will highly appreciated

which operating system are you using? if vista: it's possible that vista is installing the new update before shutdown. when restarting the pc it's possible that it takes a while to open to desktop.
