International Trade Wars is officially over. Our friends as Zergland
must have cashed in a few dozen trade ships during the weekend and went WAY
over the victory threshold (450). So as per the diety imposed stipulation,
Zergy is teh sole winner.

We do have a few other awards to hand out (although none of them
come with a neat trophy or check like Zergland got.)

Top -Also Ran- Award: Ragnarook claimed 2nd place. But officially, every
other player can claim 2nd place. They all tie. Hey, it's a wide podium.

Best Time management Award: All along I said this game would not take up much
of the players' time. Phantom, WhiteStar, and Luciania epitomized this.
For the last few weeks of the game, they didn't even need to sign on. Cactus
was almost as efficient, though he made rare appearances.

Best use of Submarines Award: Everybody BUT Phantom, WhiteStar, Luciania,
and Cactus. There were a lot of submarines.

I'd like to thank all the players who signed up AND bothered to log in on a
regualr basis. This game was a bit of a departure from the norm.

Thanks for running the game, Pat. An interesting twist. But kinda too slow for
my taste (I was A.F.K. incase if no one knew, as I joined the game not really
planning on being too intensely into it, or Away From Keyboard quite a bit), as
it basically took 20 minutes per update to do all my moves while the updates
were an undeitly slow 46 hours apart.

I like games that have some tech progression. Even if it is something nasty
like log base 10, or maybe a negative decay so you go up about 0.25 points an
update, just some tech growth.

The thing I cannot understand is how players scored lower on the power charts
than those players who did not log in for the last 3 weeks. Did the abcentee's
have like 10k's of surplus CMs?

Isn't empire a wargame? Basic elements should include Economics, Exploration,
Expansion, Eploitation, and Sheep Banging. I feel like I missed a few of those
elements here, and I felt more in a Sim City style game. Sure, we had cats
(that was Overlord's sick motd focus, how to varnish a shaved or unshaved
kitty:), but I didn't think we were playing "Fur Traders 101".

I guess the absentees had lots of cash. They didn't spend much on mil
and none on tradeships (which don't give you back what they are worth
if you traded them in for VPs).

And they didn't lose anything in combat.
