512 cas2 or 1024 cas 3/2,5

I am a gamer and whant to buy a A64 system. I get about the same deal with corsair 400MHz 512MB cl 2 and with samsung 1024mb 400MHz cl 3 or 2,5. Which is the faster setup? Can a low latency memory realy make up for 512mb of extra memory to 1024???

I would think 1024 would probably be the smart choice, especially with an A64 system.

I second that. A64 is really strong in game so lower cas shouldnt help much..(educated guess...)so having 1 gig will improve your video encoding or any other memory hungry progz...

What games are you playing??? Do you really need a gig or will 512 be enough...

I agree, def go for a gig I know latency has a bigger impact on Athlon systems than it does with P4 but I still dont think the move from Cas3 to Cas2.5 will be at all noticable. From 512-1gig will be with some apps.
