Sorry if this subject has been covered before, all my searches and reading has only led to my further confusion... Anyway, Can someone point me in the direction of a guide that outlines the finer points of configuring and tweaking my Nvidia EVGA 7600gt for connection to a 60" Sony HDTV DLP. I am using a DVI (PC) -> HDMI (HDTV) cable currently. Although the TV also has a connection for the standard VGA-PC connection, I have tried several configs, but I have not purchased a VGA -> DVI cable, nor used an adaptor yet...
I've installed the most up to date Nvidia drivers on my PC, and I 'can' see my desktop picture and some games will play on the 60"... but ... there is a portion of the screen that is not within the limits of the TV's screen.. In other words, there are about 2" of screen missing all the way around.. top, bottom, sides... I do see Windows picks up the TV in the Display properties as a Sony TV, and according to my TV manual I set the PC Display settings to 19xx X 1080 @ 60Hz. Still, some of the colors look off, and again that annoying 2" of missing screen..
Any advice you all can provide is greatly appreciated.
