Hello,

I was wondering if someone could tell me what to do next. I have 4-year-old Dell Inspiron 8600. A few months ago, the battery stopped charging and only functions while plugged in.

At first, I replaced the A/C adapter because the light on the original A/C brick wasn't lit anymore when plugged in. When that didn't fix the problem, I bought another battery figuring the original had died and could no longer hold a charge.

After replacing the A/C adapter and battery, it still won't charge. Is there an internal charging unit or something that could be fried? What would one suggest in my situation?

Thank you for suggestions,

Clintox
