I was wondering if someone could tell me what to do next. I have 4-year-old Dell Inspiron 8600. A few months ago, the battery stopped charging and only functions while plugged in.
At first, I replaced the A/C adapter because the light on the original A/C brick wasn't lit anymore when plugged in. When that didn't fix the problem, I bought another battery figuring the original had died and could no longer hold a charge.
After replacing the A/C adapter and battery, it still won't charge. Is there an internal charging unit or something that could be fried? What would one suggest in my situation?
i have the same problem like urs. havent been able to figure out the next thing to do with it. did u have to replace the DC socket, or what did u do to fix this problem? thank you.
