edo and sis 5598

I'm trying to upgrade my parents (old) machine. I know I need 32MG simms, tin leads, 72 pins, 3.3v, 60 ns., but one resaler asked about 2k v 4k refresh. I know it has a sis 5598 chipset, but I can't find any info on the relevance of the refresh rate. Anybody know what I need?

As I recall, 4k modules were the cheap ones that only work with a few chipsets, and 2k were the good ones that worked with nearly everything. I'm going from memory here as it's been a long time since I bought them new.
