I'm in the market for a laptop for school. My desktop is a monster and handles my (serious) gaming needs, but I need something mobile so I can access my online classes and content outside of my desktop's environment.

I'm a Computer Science major and will be doing a lot of programming on this PC.

Here's a list of things I want/need in the laptop:
15.4"
Able to play some games (maybe WoW-level, but I'd be happy with Diablo II/Tycoon games)
Wach DVDs
Burn CDs/DVDs

My budget is <$800, but I'd prefer to stay as far from that as possible (~$650 or less range). I'll also say that if there's something sweet that's a bit over, I might spring for it.

I'm very knowledgeable about hardware, but one of the things that just completely stumps me is integrated GPUs. I have no clue what I'm doing there. So if someone could help me out with this part (e.g. what's the most graphics-intensive game that I can play on X integrated card at low settings?), that'd probably be all I need to figure it out on my own. I would prefer a non-generic, but my budget probably eliminates that possibility.

I think I pretty much know what I want out of the thing, just don't have quite enough knowledge to figure out what I'm looking for/at...

Any particular laptops that fit me? Is my best bet to order from Dell/whoever or is there a retail store I can go pick one up at that fits my needs and price? I'm heading out of town for next week tomorrow morning, and if I could go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Microcenter, etc. and pick one up today, it'd give me something to do on the plane and throughout the week...

Links are good, and thanks for any help.

OK, so I did some shopping and put this little bugger together at HP's website. Total price is $773.98.

Is the 3450 really worth the $100 extra over the 3200 the base model comes with?

The answer to that question is "no."

As far as a deal? I guess that could work. I don't know. I'm more of a mind to head towards the Lenovo Y530 series, or if you have a little bit more to spend the Thinkpad T series. Last you all four years and then some.
