Announcement from Latvia:

Proclamation

WHEREAS
The Deities of the Game performed great feats for the players;
and
WHEREAS
Pat Loney designed a great setup; and
WHEREAS
Mark Ballinger stepped in selflessly to make sure the game
continued;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ulmanis, Prime Minister of Latvia, by virtue of the
authority vested in me by the the Laws of the Nation of Latvia, do by
this Proclamation wish to thank the deities for their service to the
Empire Community and name Mr. Loney and Mr. Ballinger honarary
citizens of Latvia. A celebration to commemorate their actions
will be held in the near future, where they will be given the Keys to
the City of Riga, our capital.

Latvia's allies Norway and Austria allowed Latvia a peaceful
co-existance along very long borders that did not have to be
defended; and
WHEREAS
Latvia's allies Norway and Austria allowed Latvia to safely
trade to a great benefit of the Latvian treasury; and
WHEREAS
Latvia's allies Norway and Austria remained true to the end of
the game;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ulmanis, Prime Minister of Latvia, by virtue of the
authority vested in me by the the Laws of the Nation of Latvia, do by
this Proclamation wish to thank our allies for their great support

WHEREAS
The country of Austria played a great game; and
WHEREAS
The country of Austria used it's starting potiton
to great advantage leading the world for most of the
game and at the end of the game;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ulmanis, Prime Minister of Latvia, by virtue of the
authority vested in me by the the Laws of the Nation of Latvia, do by
this Proclamation wish to acknowledge that Austria deserved it's number
one position in the game and wish to thank Austria for agreeing to a two
country win declaration.

WHEREAS
The Nation of Astrakhan, lead by their wise leader Kniaz Ivan,
decided that their way in this game was peace, and not war; and
WHEREAS
The Nation of Astrakhan used it resources solely for the
developement of science and technology; and
WHEREAS
The results of their research and development allowed them to
manufacture machines that were not available to the
factories of Latvia; and
WHEREAS
The Nation of Astrakhan allowed Latvia to purchase these
advanced machines; and
WHEREAS
The use of these machines allowed Latvia an advantage over
it's opponents which allowed for the expansion of
the Latvian Nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ulmanis, Prime Minister of Latvia, by virtue of the
authority vested in me by the the Laws of the Nation of Latvia, do by
this Proclamation wish to proclaim that the Nation of Astrakhan lead by
Kniaz Ivan deserve recognition by the Empire Community as deserving of
the title of "Honorable Mention" in the game European Empire IX.
