i currently have an iphone 3g, that is causing all sorts of problems, and i'm with telus atm, it was a 3 year contract and it still has 12 months left. currently i pay 58$ a month for a voice/data plan, now one of my problems is that, because of one of the issues with the phone, i had a 300$ phone bill last month, basically my calls kept dropping mid dial, but it can't be the service since my roommates phone works great(same phone), in the same area.

but i cannot call telus on my phone, since it keeps dropping, so i figured i'd get a replacement phone. now when i went down to bestbuy(no telus stores within walking distance) they said the cost to buyout or replace my phone would be 165$, seeing as my phone bill was 300$, i can't afford it.

so basically i want to know:
1. can i add a second phone to the same plan and just use only that phone?
2. how much of increase in my bill would i see?

i'm not sure how it works, but i'm not the type of person who gets angry or demands more from a customer service rep, its just not in my nature. i would rather take the easier route and replace the phone, then spend time yelling at customer service.

Note: reason i'm asking here is because i couldn't find any FAQ on their website

Call or email them to find out. Costs and service plans vary from area to area.

If the bill was due to calls being dropped, you can contest it with them.
