Y'know, I was thinking about it, and I'm totally unaware of any female
storm deities. There are male deities of agriculture, and Amaterasu
is a female solar deity but nobody seems to have ever dreamed up
a weather goddess...apart of course from Marvel comics. So I'm
pondering whether it would give the illusion of originality to model a
pantheon on the Olympians, but with the gender roles reversed. Of
course having masculine deities of marriage and virginity might be a
bit odd.

Well there was that one episode of the Heracles TV show where Ares was
the God of Love, Aphrodite was married to Zeus (and a cold bitch), I
forget what Hera was. It was weird seeing this big hulking guy wearing
an Elvis suit and proclaiming the joys of love...

If you reverse gender roles of the mortals then it won't be so odd.
Of course you'll have a very alien and chalenging environment to game
in too.

Mother Holda is a Germanic nature goddess (according to the Grimms)
who is essentially Mother Nature with an aspect that rides a chariot
through the skies during stormy weather, shakes out her blankets to
produce snow (don't know if this means she has dandruff), and so on...

The Egyptian Sky Goddess also handled matters of rain-based fertility, thus
giving her storm attributes. Likewise, the Egyptians had an Earth God, not
an Earth Goddess.

(And the Indo-Europeans had a Moon God and a Sun Goddess--this got switched
later in some places.)

The Snow Queen, from Hans Christian Anderson, is about as close
as I can think of (other than the X-Men.)

Frigga (Wife of Odin, Mother of Thor, Balder and Bragi) A sky goddess,
responsible for weaving the clouds (and therefore for sunshine and rain and
the fertility of the crops), she was also responsible for weaving the fates,
as well as a 'seer', one who knew the future though she could never change
it.

Rondra, Goddess of War and Thunder, from "The Black Eye" is also
female. She isn't the goddess of weather, but there is no such single
deity for this.

Isn't "Mother Nature" kinda-sorta a weather goddess?

But if you implement HER as a serious goddes, don ever mention this to
german gamers. Grimms fairy tales have really made her a rather comic
figure.

I found some stuff about Oya, an African storm
goddess:
