For a while now I've been considering a gaming laptop.

1_What is your budget?
$1400 at max, would prefer closer to $1000

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15" or bigger is fine.

3_What screen resolution do you want?
It's never mattered to me...

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Desktop replacement.

5_How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter I suppose.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I mostly play RPGs and RTS. Games like Neverwinter Nights 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Dawn of War and Civilization 4. I'd like to be able to go with at least medium settings on most games. (There's also alot of MMOs, but all of the ones I play have low requirements.)

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.)
Writing, Surfing, Chat, Music, sometimes Movies and Photo Editing.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
I don't need more than 200GB, but I wouldn't mind it.

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?
As long as possible, probably at least 3-5 years.

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.
It would be nice if it could take multi-tasking, I often surf, chat, play an MMO, write stories and listen to music at once.

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Well, the main one is having an ATI card, I much prefer them to Nvidia, always have. Otherwise I have no major prefrences.

13_What country do you live in?
Canada.

So can anyone help me find the right laptop?
