Can I use over 137GB?

Last response: in Storage

I'm thinking of buying a new 160GB (or perhaps 200GB) WD 8MB 7200RPM HD to add to my aging 60GB drive.

I have an ASUS A7V8X
(http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7v8x/overview....)

I can't find out whether or not the mobo supports drives over 137GB...
I am using Windows XP SP1
Athlon XP 2700+
512 PC2700
GF4 Ti4200 128MB 8x AGP
LiteOn 811S DVDRW
Maxtor 60GB 2MB 7200RPM

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yes, it does.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

All the 8x boards were produced after the 48-bit update for UDMA100, and I think your board came with ATA133 (which supports large hard drives by default).
