Hello everyone I found this site while researching on the 780G chipset....

I recently purchased a laptop from best buy while it was on sale for $699.99 and so far ive been happy with it even playing fallout 3 on it....(comparing it to my desktop hp m7360n i bought a few years back which barely plays fallout 3)

It is the hp dv7-1245dx:

AMD Turion x2 RM-72 (2.1GHZ)
320GB SATA HD (5400RPMS)
4 gig RAM (I Believe upgradable to 8)
17" Screen
ATI Radeon 3200hd (hopefully upgrading to 3650 if i CAN if not 3450/70)

It has the express card slot, remote control, 5-1 card reader, webcam, but it doesnt have the fingerprint reader or tuner (which i do not care)... i havent been able to pull up much about this notebook on the internet.....

What do you guys think? Whats funny is I'm going to school for network technology but i have no clue on system STANDARDS VS PRICES......

I'm not quite sure if the 3200 is a dedicated card or not, I don't remember. Anywho, I think you'll be disappointed with your upgrade path - most notebook graphics cards are not upgradable.

yeah its intergrated, they have same comp with intel processor (only 2.0), blue ray disc and geo 9800 dedicated on sale sometimes for 899 but i havent seen that in a while or i would have gotten that for only 200$ more (currently on sale for 1079)
