SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
I didnt no wether or not this was the right section but yeah ok. I ordered the Dell XPS m1530 and is due to arrive very soon indeed! Specs Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2GHz, 800 FSB and 2Mb Cache Processor 160 Gb 7200 RPM HDD 4Gb @ 667Mhz RAM nVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT I was jus wondering which 1 of those would be the bottleneck for gaming. Games specifically that im gonna be playing the most are Rome Total War + Barbarian Invasion + Alexander Medieval 2 Total War + Kingdoms Football Manager 2009 with 3D Match View On So how well will the laptop cope nd will i be able to run the Total War games on High at least with Shadows Off and AA on and at least x2 AF? If you can help me, it wud be much appreciated! Thank You
Those are all fairly CPU limited games, but you should be fine. What resolution is the screen?
1280 x 1080 on 15.4" widescreen i think, but defo no higher
At that low of a resolution, you won't be challenging your 8600. Most of the work will be done by your CPU, which is sufficient for those titles.
ah, ok, sounds good heh. thanks!
