Hi everybody,

Since I tried to install Norton Systemworks 2005 (uninstalled since),
I can't run any javascript. When I click on a link that's suposed to
execute a script, nothing happens.
I tried to uninstall/install J2SE runtime 1.5. No change.

Any idea please ?

Regards.
Eric.

Uninstall NS 2005 - everything should work properly then.

You are confusing Javascript and Java. J2SE applies to Java and has nothing
to do with Javascript. J2SE is used to experience Web applets on the
Internet. Nothing to do with Javascript. Norton does remove your scripting
ability as default and you have to go into its configuration to stop that.
Trouble is once Norton gets its paws on your scripting the result will be
similar to what it does to your Recycle Bin. Namely a big headache.
Finally you cannot uninstall Norton products. It leaves remnents that can
never be removed.
