Cell OS vs PC OS?

How do cell phone OSes compare to PC OSes? I know the iPhone OS is lacking in file system access which would cause power user problems. Are there other things the mobile OSes are lacking for power/development users or are they beginning to get closer to PC alternatives?

You can't really compare them
For example,iOS is still far behind MAC OS X or Windows in terms of many functions but offers a more friendly UI,that's why its used in mobile devices.

Which leaves me with looking for a win7 based tablet if I want to do more than basic things rather than a droid or ipad...

Well the problem with Windows 7 is that it isn't built for a touch screen device. Many manufactures have created a custom UI for Win7 tablets but beneath it,you still have to work with the OS itself.

Definitely.MS even gave a touch pack for it but still t doesn't play nice with touch screen devices.(For example, many icons are too small to touch)
