This recent Tom's article checked compatibility of athlon 64 754 platforms with several brands of memory:

This anandtech article as well as other anandtech articles on memory show performance at stock and oc's on serveral memory types they have tested.
<A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2019&p=12" target="_new">http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2019&p=12</A>

I did notice that their standard test platform is a p4 2.4 ghz 800 fsb setup though. In the subsequent reviews of ocz3700eb
<A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2057&p=11" target="_new">http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2057&p=11</A>
and the new corsair 3200 2-2-2-5 memory
<A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2082&p=13" target="_new">http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=2082&p=13</A> they also test them on an athlon 64 platform. Unfortunately they don't really compare them to other memory types on a64 because they don't have that data from past tests. For some unfathomable reason they even switch to 939 athlon 64 for the corsair test.

I'd probably get that new 2-2-2-5 PC3200 from Corsair. The nForce3 250 chipsets are much better than the nForce3 150 or VIA chipsets were with low latency memory.

i would go for mushkin lv2 pc3200. its solid, its a winbond chip so u cant go wrong with it and has a little if not much overclock room at 200fsb ratings. the new corsair xl modules are not that good in my opinion loads of issues with them and its samsubng chip. only good thing about that is that if you get the pro version it has led lights on a windowed case it could be nice wow factor. buit thats just about it.
