I am thinking about buying a laptop. My priorities are small size, light weight, battery life and price above all. Of course performance won't hurt.
I thought netbooks were really cool for tasks such as surfing the web and email for around 400 euros. I came across a brand called Ahtec which sells the MSI Wind with their own name.
However, they've got an offer for a 12" laptop that looks really good. I've looked at the Atom N270 performance and is worse than I thought. According to the benchmarks I've seen it compares (more or less) to my (very) old Athlon XP1800. Thus, I am thinking about buying the 12" with a Pentium Dual Core T3200.
# Ahtec Netbook LUG N011, 1.6Ghz Intel® Atom N270 Diamondville (533Mhz/512Kb), 1024MB DDR2 533Mhz (1x1GB), 160GB Disco duro, 3-cell battery, Pantalla 10.2 TFT WSVGA LED Backlight, Webcam, Wireless, Bluetooth -- 309 euros
Both models can be upgraded (www.ahtec.net). I could get 4GB total RAM for the 12" and 2GB for the 10" netbook for around 25 and 20 euros. The netbook battery can also be upgraded to 6 or 9 cells.
I would really appreciate some advice on what to buy.
