You can use a program like DVDFab to decrypt the DVD files onto your hard-drive, then just copy that folder to your thumb-drive.

You could also use a program like Handbrake to rip the DVD and convert it to a single, compressed, file for easier archiving and management.

Personally, I rip using DVDFab (free version), then convert to .m4v or .mkv or .avi using handbrake (also free).
