My wife has software that uses a HASP hardware key that plugs into a parallel port for anti piracy. She wants to use the design software on her notebook, but the key needs a parallel port to plug into. I bought a USB to female parallel port cable, but it does not work.

Will a PCMCIA to female parallel port work, is so where can i find a cheap one. Newegg has one for $50.

Is there another way to get the key to work?
