I owned one of these and was happy with it apart from the fact that although it played WMA files without a problem it didn’t seem to like MP3 files. After several firmware upgrades I was still getting nasty digital pops & squeaks so was advised to return it to the retailer for repair. The retailer no longer deals with Archos so couldn’t offer repair or exchange for the same model, so I ended up with a refund and am now back in the market.

I'm tempted to just order the Archos 202s again from another source, but I'm a bit wary due to the MP3 issue mine had, although I may have just been unlucky as I haven’t heard of anyone else having the same problem.

What I liked about the Archos:
Small in size, 20 gig storage, decent sound quality, easy to use with a PC.

Is there anything else out there I should consider?

Thanks.
