I have been attempting to use Redhat 6.2 and 7.2. I have load these Linux version, as well as many others, but alway run into the same problem.

I use a dial-up local ISP service. Linux will dial-up correctly, using a USR Courier Everything 56K modem. However, when I activate a web browser, I receive a message stating there is no connection.

RH6.2 indicated a "socket" error. I have looked through man and HOWTO, but I am lost and confused.

Any suggestions, please!
