I looking for a new LCD monitor but I don't have a DVI cable yet, so I was wondering which to get? I'm either getting the Monster DVI-400 series, or the Belkin DVI-D video cable. I'm not sure which is better. Can anyone help?
Really it will make no difference to your picture quality.
IMO you should buy the cheapest of the two as DVI is a digital signal it is not affected greatly by EMI so quality of shielding doesn't really come into it.
Also no one has ever proven that more expensive cables even make a difference to the quality of picture/sound in an EMI free environment.
I used to work for an electronics retailer who sold monster cable and even the monster cable rep said to me (off the record of course) that he was unconvinced that it made any improvement.
