I was watching movies on my HDTV by hooking an HDMI cable from my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop to my HDTV. Today I get no interface when I plug the laptop in (Screen on TV says "no vidio signal" ) How do i know if it is a prob. with the HDMI connector at the Laptop, or the cord itself, or a software issue. I can't get a signal if i Jiggle the cord.

Does video show on the notebook's screen?

Try the following procedure:

1. disconnect the HDMI cable
2. reboot the notebook
3. shut the notebook down
4. reboot the notebook
5. connect the HDMI cable and attempt to get a signal.
