Quite a bit, P4's love bandwidth I think the prescotts even more than the northwoods.

That would mean you're running an 800mhz chip at 533mhz for starters. You'll get an immediate 25 or 30% overclock. It will be like night & day when gaming, running large apps, burning DVD's, etc. For web surfing, large video files will load faster.

No it wouldn't. It would mean he's running an 800 bus CPU at 800, and the memory at 266, with actual bus clocks of 200:133 using the 3:2 ratio.

Benchmarking definatly, Far Cry is more graphics card intensive but you will still see a bit of a performance increase.

If you can spend the money I suggest you do so. You should be satsifyed by the increase of performance

Asus P4P800DX, P4C 2.6ghz@3.25ghz, 2X512 OCZ PC4000 3-3-3-8, Leadtek FX5900 w/ FX5950U bios@500/1000, 2X30gig Raid0

You should see anywhere from 5-50% gains in applications depending on their bandwidth dependance, and maybe as much as 150% in sythetic memory benchmarks.
