My computer randomly had a blue screen when I was using it. It restarted it by itself, and now every time I try to turn it on, it shows a black screen that says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I honestly don't know anything about computers. Please help!

Toshiba Satellite L775, Windows 7.

When powering on the computer, keep pressing F12 during POST until the boot menu appears, now select the hard drive that has Windows installed.

You may need to reset the boot order. The directions below came from the Toshiba web site.

To manually choose the Boot Setting by pressing the power button to power on the computer, then quickly pressing the F12 key.
Select the boot device by pressing the arrow keys, then pressing the Enter key.

Random blue screens before it refuses to start at all are typically caused be a dying hard drive. If your Laptop is still under warranty RMA it. If it's not contact a dealer near you.

That's why I suggested to contact a computer dealer near you. He knows what a hard drive is and what to do.
