In GURPS Magic, 3rd ed (which is for 4th ed GURPS), on page 53 there
is the spell "Essential Earth" which creates, well, essential earth.
The spell fails to mention how much is created, however. Does anyone
know?

Cheers

Regular spell, so one hex per casting.

I believe the definition would be a 1m diameter cylinder 2m tall - base
definition of a Hex for volume purposes.

Standard for Create spells is 1 hex diameter by 2 Hex high

Do you know what volume of created earth we would be talking? A one
cubic yard cube?

Cheers

IIRC GURPS hexes are 5 feet across, and for the purpose of
magic they are (very IIRC, now) supposed to be 6 feet tall.

Quoting from page B384: "One hex on the combat map represents one yard
of distance." They're three feet across.

One yard across, and two yards tall in 3e. In 4e they are 4 yards
high, though there might be a different rule for creation spells.
