Ok, here is my original post :

Now recently I had a BSOD(blue screen of death) and after entering windows and it told me it had something to do with the sound card. The Ensoniq Sound Card Driver (E10KX2K.SYS) Could that driver or perhaps the sound card not being seated correctly cause the computer to not be able to run memtest86 correctly - freezing at test 2?

Thanks,
Onslaught

memtest86 runs in DOS before any drivers for Windows are even loaded, switch to a different RAM module and rerun the test, I've had memtest86 produce errors but never freeze the computer, I would say you definitely have a hardware problem and its probably a bad stick of RAM.

Firs of all, if you installed drivers from the audigy CD, the problem is there, i had the same windows error after installing these drivers. go to Creative and download latest drivers for your card. Good Luck
