Hello
My cousin recently acquired a 15" FPD touchscreen from a kiosk that was being taken down at his work.
The touchscreen itself has no indication of brand or marking. My cousin opened it up only to find a serial number that means nothing in google and I can't derive a brand name from it. The screen has a ps/2 output with the ability to piggyback a mouse, presumably. Also, it uses the a standard vga cable.
The problem is that it seems like the touchscreen needs some sort of calibration. I haven't used it, but my cousin said it recognizes touches for sure, they're just not accurate.
I was trying to find drivers or some software that would help the situation but have little to go on. I was wondering if there are some generic choices that would work universally with a touchscreen.
I have a minimum knowledge base on touchscreens.
The only identifying marks i can find on the screen itself is:N84YD00286 and it's from a directv kiosk.
I will keep what store it's from private. I have used it in my searches and has helped none.
I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks.
oh, one more thing. when the monitor is on and plugged into the computer it comes up as a generic plug and play display.
