Hello,

I have a Dell Studio XPS 1640 and I am trying to restore it to factory settings. I have inserted the operating system disc and I get a message "cannot find a system image on this computer."

What can I do?

Thanks

Try re-burning the DVD if it's in a ISO, it might be corrupted.

I have the original disc so you are saying I should try and burn it and then use that disc?
What were you saying about ISO?

Thanks

If it was the original disk, it should be corrupted.
You can go torrent one if you have no ISO (a virtual DVD image). (not piracy if you have a legit product key)

Do I just need any old torrent copy of windows 7 will work or do I need something specific for a Dell XPS pc?
Also I havent used torrent in ages (since I realize its unethical) do you know of a trusted site I can use to get a copy of windows 7?

Thanks

Go on TPB, search up "Windows 7", and click the one with most seeders.

As I said before, it's not piracy if you have a legitimate product key.
