Trying to factory restore emachine says hard drive configuration isnt factory

How do u set hard drive to factory settings

Put the original drive back in.

Its the desktop EL1385G. It will not complete a system restore or a facotry reset. It tells me that I my hard drive config is not set to facotry. And Emachines charges 20 dollars for a reboot CD
